Update from Project Woman

Updated From Project Woman:

To survivors, clients, and partners,

With growing global concerns around COVID-19 (“coronavirus”), we wanted to provide you with an update on our response and our commitment to moving forward. For the health, safety and well-being of our employees we are following the lead of Center for Disease Control and local public health authorities at this important time.

First and foremost, we want to ensure that Project Woman is open and here to support victims and families. We have implemented additional measures in response to the pandemic:

• Emergency Shelter locations remain open and in full operation
• Crisis/Help Line remains open and available 24/7
• Peer Support Group (Wednesday evenings at 5:30) are cancelled until further notice. Participants are encouraged to call our Crisis/Help Line at 800-634-9893 for 24 hour support
• Staff will limit in-person meetings with community partners; utilizing telecommuting when possible
• Staff will utilize technology to remain in contact for safety planning, advocacy and supportive services when possible
• Health Screenings will be conducted for staff, survivors, and visitors to our facilities and locations in alignment with guidance provided from the CDC
• All employees will be reachable by phone and email

Project Woman continues to monitor this situation closely and will provide ongoing updates as needed.

In Peace,
The Project Woman Team
