Clark County Emergency Assistance
Salvation Army (322-3434) can help with electric (Ohio Edison only) taking phone calls Mondays at 9:00 am.
St. Vincent De Paul (322-0838) can help with rent, utilities, and other various emergency financial assistance. Taking phone calls Tuesday or Friday at 10:00 am.
HEAP (325-8366) winter crisis program now available, assistance with utilities
PRC through DJFS (327-1700) can help with various emergency financial assistance, you must have an income and children to qualify.
Champaign County Emergency Assistance
Catholic Charities (652-2125) can help with limited emergency assistance, taking phone calls the first Wednesday of the month only
Community Action (772-9164)  winter crisis program now available, assistance with utilities
PRC through DJFS (484-1500) can help with various emergency financial assistance, you must be working and have children to qualify.

2014 Madison County Christmas Sign-Ups

Madison County Holiday Helpers Sign-Up Information 2014

Family Applicants- must reside in Madison County; children must live in the home full time.  Will assist with gifts for children though the age of 14.

Social Security Cards and a picture ID for the head of household

Applications will be taken at the:

Beginning October 15th from 8am-4pm

Champaign County Community Christmas Sign-Up Information 2014

Family Applicants- must be in financial need, reside in Champaign County, have custodial rights of children, and must bring current proof of income, Social Security Cards and a picture ID for the head of household

Senior Citizen Applicants- must be in financial need, reside in Champaign County, 60 years or older, and must bring photo ID, social security cards and proof of Income

Applications will be taken at the Community Center, 1512 S US HWY 68, Urbana.  Monday, October 27th from 11am-2pm & 6-8pm

Tuesday, October 28th from 11am-2pm & 6-8pm

Wednesday, October 29th from 11am-2pm

This is the only time applications can be completed, no later dates or phone calls accepted.

The Madison County/London City Health District will be offering flu and pneumonia shots at the following locations this year:   2014

Clinics subject to change due to vaccine availability.  No appointment is necessary. Please remember to bring your Medicare (part B),  Humana, MediGold or Medicaid card with you.  Most commercial insurance accepted.  If you are not covered by these, the cost for the flu vaccine is $26.00 and the cost for the pneumonia vaccine is $80.00.  No one will be turned away due to inability to pay.  If you have any questions call the health district at (740)852-3065.

Champaign Health District will be holding a Pediatric Flu clinic at the Health District Monday, October 20, 2014. The hours will be 8:30 AM – 6:30 PM. This will be a walk-in clinic.
Parents are welcome to get their flu shot too!

Immunization Clinic Hours
Beginning Monday October 6, 2014 our immunization clinic hours will be as follows:

Monday – Walk-In
Wednesday – By appointment time. 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
First and Third Thursdays of the month by appointment. 2:00 PM until 6:30 PM.

Community Action Partnership -HEAP moves in Champaign County

Community Action Partnership has moved to 40 Monument Square, Suite 200, Urbana, OH 43078. 

They have a new phone number as well- (937)772-9164.  They serve as the local HEAP office.  Summer Crisis Program is going on now!!! Air Conditioners! Electric Assistance!
They also offer the following programs:
Family Development Program- Case management- advocacy and support
Work Related Assistance Programs- gas cards, tools, uniforms and other items needed to sustain a job
